Hala Samaan, MA, ATR-P Art Therapist (she/her/hers)
Art Therapist and Professional Counselor Associate. A little bit about me: I practice therapy because I believe in its profound ability to foster healing and transformation. Having faced my own challenges, I understand the courage it takes to step into therapy. This work is deeply meaningful to me, and I feel honored to walk alongside clients on their unique journeys, offering support and compassion every step of the way. At iPhilosophy Therapy, I draw from person-centered, existential-humanistic, and relational depth approaches to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen and understood. Through art therapy, I help clients explore emotions and experiences in ways that words alone cannot, focusing on the healing process rather than the outcome.
I prioritize building trust and safety so that we can navigate challenges together with openness and curiosity. Whether you’re addressing past trauma, navigating life transitions, or seeking deeper self-connection, my goal is to empower you to uncover insights, shift limiting beliefs, and create meaningful change. I work with adults aged 18 years and older, and I speak English and Arabic fluently. I am a provisional art therapist (ATR-P) working toward dual licensure.
When I’m not working, I enjoy playing the ukulele, crocheting, spending time with my cat Kahlua, playing video games, and exploring new places in Portland.
